·       Junior Syndicate Picnic on Monday next week (16th).  Fingers crossed for gorgeous weather!
·       This will be the last Home Learning sheet for the year.  Thanks for all the support you have given your children in their first year at school!  It is amazing seeing their progress! J

Reminders
·       ICT day with Mrs Anderson on Tuesday in the Hall!  Yay!
·       I am going to be away on holiday Thursday 14th, Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th November.  We are very lucky to have Mrs Jo Murphy teaching during this time. 
·       We are practicing our Christmas song for the end of year assembly.  It is all about Santa Claus and there is a copy in the Poem and Song book.  We would love it if children could find a Santa hat to wear for this item.  Apparently they are easy to find at $2 shops or the like.  Let me know if this is not possible for you.
·       Thanks so much to Katherine Glass for nominating us at New World Ashburton to receive a massive stash of New World minis for our little shop.  We have shelved these and we are open to trading any double ups you have at home.  Massive thanks to New World Ashburton!

·       Thanks so much to the families who have had Jasper so far.  He has had some great adventures and he has been coming back everyday – awesome!
·       This week and next week, I will be carrying out reading and maths testing.  The children will still bring home a book each night but they may not have read it with me at school and therefore  may need extra help with it.

·       The children have been practicing their run, jump, throw skills.  This event is on Tuesday this week.  Please remember to sign the children out if they go home early with you.

·       Please ensure that Poem and Song books are in reading folders at all times.  I have stuck balloon words in diaries for those who did not have theirs.  Please can these be stuck into the back of the poem and song book? Thanks
·       There is an extra sheet this week for your child to survey members of the family on their favourite fruit and vegetable.  This is part of our Happy, Heatlhy Me! unit.  We will be graphing our results.
·       Don’t forget Calendar Art orders are due on Friday this week.  Our Artworks are still hanging in the cloakroom if you wish to see them J

Ø  A parent help notice is coming home for Term 4.  There is a slight change to the programme so I have included a timetable in the diary also.  Thank you so much to those parent helpers from Term 3, we really appreciate your help.
Ø  We welcome Mac, Matthew, Robbie, Orla and Stella into Staveley full-time in Term 4.
Ø  Please have a check if you have any reading books at home as we will return these to the book room before the holidays.  A pack of seen texts will come home with each child to read over the holidays.
